Firewood Rack
We’ve had a pile of wood in the backyard for years and decided it was finally time to make a firewood rack. This was our first steel project (not Jeep-related) and it was a great chance for Kevyn to practice his new welding skills.
We wanted the firewood rack to be sleek, modern, and a fitting addition to our newly-landscaped backyard. Steel seemed like the obvious choice of material for both the weather conditions and the aesthetics we were going for. We chose to use 1.5” square tubing and made it roughly 5’x5’x12”. You can see the process we used to prepare the steel in the video and then we painted it with a gloss spray paint.
It has become a focal point of our backyard and is one of those projects I don’t think I would have done any differently!
